DogYun's Hong Kong classic-cloud large-disk series leans on disk, traffic and bandwidth. Entry: 1 core / 1 GB / **250 GB disk** / 1 Gbps / **5 TB traffic** at ¥40/mo; top tier 8 cores / 8 GB / 2 TB / 5 Gbps / 40 TB at ¥260. Full KVM virtualization with a Chinese-language console. Suits mirrors and download sites, file storage, archiving and overseas relaying. **International routing, not China-optimized** — see the note below before ordering.

About DogYun

DogYun's operator started with shared hosting in 2012, moved into cloud servers in 2014, and launched the DogYun brand in 2019 — a relatively long-running China-based provider with a full Chinese-language console and ticket system. Three product lines exist: elastic cloud (from ¥29.52/mo), classic cloud (from ¥10/mo) and dedicated servers (from ¥400/mo). The site says its datacenters span 8 Asian and 2 American locations without itemizing them. This article covers the Hong Kong classic-cloud large-disk series.

Four tiers where disk, traffic and port speed all scale together (aggregated from public pages; price at checkout):

Read the shape: ¥40 buys 250 GB of disk, 5 TB of traffic and a 1 Gbps port but only 1 core and 1 GB of RAM — a storage-and-bandwidth build. Ideal for mirrors, download sites, file storage and archiving, which consume disk and traffic rather than CPU. Wrong for databases, multi-container Docker or memory-hungry apps; use the elastic cloud line for those.

Routing — don't buy the wrong thing

The provider labels this series as international bandwidth, from 1 Gbps to 5 Gbps. Important: a Hong Kong location does not automatically mean good routing back into mainland China. Hong Kong is geographically close, but these machines run international transit and no CN2 GIA / AS9929 / CMIN2 optimization is advertised.

  • Good for: overseas relaying, global download and mirror distribution, cross-border work — the bandwidth is real
  • Watch out: for mainland-facing hosting, international transit is weaker at peak than dedicated optimized lines
  • No Looking Glass or test IP is published — ask support for a Hong Kong test IP before ordering

We did not benchmark this provider and quote no latency or loss numbers.
