InterServer is a US IDC founded in 1999. Its VPS is slice-priced: 1 slice = 1 core / 2 GB / 40 GB NVMe / 10 Gbps port / 2 TB traffic at $3/mo, scaling linearly to 32 slices (16C / 64GB / 1280GB / 64TB at $96/mo). KVM (Hyper-V for Windows), datacenters in NYC / Dallas / LA, Linux and Windows Server, US-native IP + IPv6. Alipay / WeChat / PayPal accepted.

About InterServer

InterServer, founded 1999, is a long-running US IDC with its own datacenters, offering shared hosting, VPS, dedicated servers and colocation. For China-based readers its positioning is 'cheap + big bandwidth + native US IP' on standard international routing — not CN2 / AS9929-style China-optimized transit. Keep that in mind before ordering.

How slice pricing works

Go to InterServer

InterServer's VPS isn't a fixed plan table — it's priced per slice: 1 slice = $3/mo, with resources scaling linearly from 1 to 32 slices:

SlicesCPURAMNVMeTrafficMonthlyBuy
11 core2 GB40 GB2 TB$3Buy now
21 core4 GB80 GB4 TB$6Buy now
42 cores8 GB160 GB8 TB$12Buy now

168 cores32 GB640 GB32 TB$48Buy now
3216 cores64 GB1280 GB64 TB$96Buy now

No settling for preset tiers: need more RAM, add a slice. Intermediate counts (3/5/6/7…) work too — every extra slice is +$3/mo. Specs per the official checkout page.

Networking (important caveat)

You get a 10 Gbps port with 2 TB of traffic per slice — strong bandwidth for the price — plus native US IPv4 and IPv6. But the provider does not advertise China-optimized transit (CN2 GIA / AS9929 / CMIN2); this is standard international routing. So:

  • Great for Europe / US / global-facing workloads
  • Weaker than CN2 GIA / 9929 lines for mainland-China access — pick an optimized provider if that matters
  • Of the three sites, Los Angeles is physically closest to China

We have not benchmarked this provider, so no latency or loss figures are quoted here. Test from your own network before buying.

New York City, Dallas and Los Angeles. Linux runs on KVM, Windows on Hyper-V; AlmaLinux / Ubuntu / Debian / CentOS, or Windows Server with RDP. Native US IPv4 + IPv6. Alipay, WeChat Pay, PayPal and UnionPay are accepted.

Third-party reviews have mentioned a 50%-first-month code (COUPONOFVPS234); such codes expire quickly — whether it still applies is up to the official checkout page, and we make no promise about it.

Use cases & data source

Suits foreign-trade sites aimed at Western users, US multi-site setups, social-media account operations on native US IPs, budget entry-level use from $3/mo, and large-disk / high-traffic needs (up to 1280 GB and 64 TB). Specs / datacenters / pricing aggregated from InterServer official public pages (checked 2026-08); the checkout page is authoritative. We did not benchmark this provider.
