AkileCloud review: 10 regions including Macau and Italy, both rare among peers. The flagship is the HK HKLite series — 1 core / 1 GB behind a 1-2 Gbps port with 2.5-5 TB of traffic from ¥24.99, a classic bandwidth-oriented build. Japan runs IIJ; US LAXPremium offers CN2 / AS9929 / CMIN2 and dual-ISP residential. **But no test IPs, payment methods or founding date are published** — we flag those gaps honestly.
✓ Pros
- 10 regions including uncommon Macau and Italy nodes
- Generous HK bandwidth: 1-2 Gbps ports with 2.5-5 TB traffic
- Entry at ¥24.99/mo is competitive for HK high-bandwidth tiers
- Japan IIJ-optimized; US LAXPremium with CN2 / AS9929 / CMIN2
- Native IPs and IPv6; dual-ISP residential available in US and Japan
- Positioned for streaming and AI platform access
× Cons
- Very little CPU and RAM (the flagship tier is 1 core / 1 GB) — bandwidth-only builds
- No Looking Glass or test IP published, so you can't measure before buying
- Payment methods not itemized
- No stated founding date or operating entity
- Only partial tiers are publicly documented
- Virtualization type and Windows support unstated
1. Positioning: many regions, big pipes
AkileCloud spans 10 regions: Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Japan, the US (LA / San Jose), Singapore, Korea, Germany, the UK and Italy. Macau and Italy in particular are hard to find elsewhere, so if your workload needs to land there, options are limited to begin with. The positioning — big bandwidth plus streaming unlock — is written plainly into its flagship specs.
2. HK HKLite is a bandwidth-only build
Go to AkileCloudThe flagship tiers (sample only; full lineup on the official page):
| Plan | CPU | RAM | Disk | Port | Traffic | Monthly | Buy |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| HKLite-Mini | 1 core | 1 GB | 10 GB | 1 Gbps | 2500 GB | ¥24.99 | Buy now |
| HKLite-Starter | 1 core | 1 GB | 10 GB | 2 Gbps | 5 TB | ¥43.74 | Buy now |
Read the shape carefully: 1 core, 1 GB RAM and 10 GB disk behind a 1-2 Gbps port with 2.5-5 TB of traffic — compute and storage are minimal; the money went into bandwidth. Great for relaying, downloads and distribution; wrong for a site plus database, multi-container Docker, or anything memory-hungry (a control panel alone eats most of 1 GB). Don't price-compare it against ordinary VPS: at the same ¥24.99 another host might give 2 cores / 2 GB on a 100 Mbps port. Which is better depends entirely on whether you're short of bandwidth or compute.
3. Japan IIJ and the US lines
Go to AkileCloudSample tiers on the other two main lines:
| Plan | Region | CPU | RAM | Disk | Port | Traffic | Monthly | Buy |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| JPIIJ-Lite | Japan | 1 core | 1 GB | 10 GB | 1 Gbps | 1 TB | ¥24.99 | Buy now |
| JPIIJ-Standard | Japan | 1 core | 1 GB | 20 GB | 1 Gbps | 5 TB | ¥98.60 | Buy now |
| LAXPro-Light | US | 1 core | 1 GB | 20 GB | 500 Mbps | 300 GB | ¥43.74 | Buy now |
| LAXPro-Standard | US | 1 core | 1 GB | 20 GB | 500 Mbps | 1 TB | ¥74.99 | Buy now |
Japan runs on IIJ, one of the country's top backbones. The US LAXPro tiers are tight on traffic (300 GB - 1 TB) yet cost more than the HK tiers; for China-facing use look at LAXPremium instead (CN2 / AS9929 / CMIN2 and dual-ISP residential), priced on the official page.
4. Transparency gaps worth flagging
What drags the score isn't the product, it's disclosure. None of the following is published:
- No Looking Glass or test IP — you cannot measure routing before buying
- Payment methods not itemized
- No founding date or operating entity
- Virtualization type and Windows support unstated
- Only partial tiers documented — our tables are explicitly samples, not a full price list
Practical advice: start with one month, or ask support for a datacenter test IP first. We did not benchmark this provider and quote no numbers of our own.
5. Scoring & verdict
Go to AkileCloudEditorial scores from published specs, coverage and transparency — not measured benchmarks.
| Dimension | Score | Rationale |
|---|---|---|
| Performance | 6 / 10 | Flagship tiers ship 1 core / 1 GB / 10 GB |
| Network | 8 / 10 | 1-2 Gbps with 2.5-5 TB is strong; wide line choice |
| Stability | 7 / 10 | No measured data; no founding date or entity published |
| Support | 6 / 10 | No test IP, no listed payments, no virtualization detail |
| Value | 7 / 10 | Great per Mbps, poor per core — depends on your need |
In one line: the Hong Kong bandwidth tiers are genuinely strong and the regional coverage is broad — but these are bandwidth-only builds from a provider that discloses little, so buy it only if you know bandwidth is what you're short of.
