3. What AS9929 means
The LA node runs AS9929 optimized routing with three-carrier direct paths on native US IPs. AS9929 is China Unicom's premium network (CUII), one of the better China-facing return routes — in principle steadier at peak than the plain international transit used by hosts like InterServer or Hostwinds. Watch the asymmetric rates though: the entry tier uploads at only 50 Mbps, fine for browsing and downloads but a bottleneck for backups, streaming out or origin-server duty. We did not benchmark this provider and quote no latency numbers — but there's a better option below.
4. The ¥1 trial — the point of this review
The hard truth about VPS routing: someone else's fast result says little about *your* connection. Quality depends on your carrier, province, even your building's uplink, so third-party speed screenshots are of limited value. RainYun's ¥1 trial with a 7-day refund is the cheapest way to settle it:
